2012 SOFEW Meeting

The 2012 Southern Forest Economic Workers annual meeting will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina and hosted by Hancock Timber Resource Group.
Registration is $270 per person. Student registration: $100. This fee includes attendance to all conference presentations, receptions, coffee breaks, and includes Tuesday evening's Networking Dinner.
Optional Pre-meeting Timberland Tour: Monday, March 19th
Hancock Timber is hosting an optional timberland tour for conference attendees. The tour will provide an overview of the working forest life cycle with a focus on institutionally managed timberland. Participants will visit various tracts of timberland in upstate South Carolina to see reforestation, intermediate silvicultural treatments, and harvesting operations. Hancock Timber personnel will provide guidance and commentary. An interactive discussion with tour participants is highly encouraged, so please come with questions.
The tour will begin at the Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel at 7:30am with breakfast and a brief orientation session. Participants will be dropped off at the hotel at approximately 5:00pm. Transportation, breakfast, and lunch will be provided. Please come dressed for a walk in the woods with field clothes and sturdy shoes. Personal protection equipment will be provided for stops with active harvesting operations. Space is limited. Register early.
Continuing Education
Earn up to 11 hours Continuing Forestry Education Credit hours. Pending approval by SAF.

Cancellation
Cancellations received on or before 5:00 ET March 1, 2011 will be refunded, minus a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be issued thereafter; substitutions will be allowed. Call 662-325-7039 to cancel your registration.
